Starting the Year in the Proficiency-Based Classroom -FULL DAY FILLING
Feedback form is now closed.
Limited Capacity filling up

Each of these day-long WORKshops follows the same format. After a compelling, brief, and guided exploration of helpful ideas, strategies, and resources, participants will spend most of the day making plans for next school year, drawing on those ideas, strategies, and resources that serve their particular setting and students. Come alone or come as a team, and feel free to attend one day or all three, but arrive ready to dig into designing next year.

Day 1: Starting the Year in the Proficiency-Based Classroom
  • How and why is beginning the year well in a proficiency-based classroom similar to and different from beginning the year well in a more conventional classroom?
  • What do students and teachers need to understand and be able to do in a proficiency-based classroom?
  • How can we begin the year in ways that invite our learners to help us understand them so we’re better able to support their learning.
*You must register for both the morning afternoon sessions of this day-long workshop.
